Ranchi, Nov 8 (IANS) The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested a Police Inspector while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Jharkhand's Palamau district, police said.
According to ACB officials, Kanak Bhushan Dwivedi -- posted at Chainpur Police Station of Palamau district -- was arrested when he was taking the bribe.
Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar arrested the Inspector on the complaint of one Kadir Ansari, the officials said.
Ansari said as Dwivedi demanded Rs 25,000 for changing sections in his case diary, he informed the ACB officials.
Based on the complaint, the ACB verified the facts, laid a trap and caught the Inspector red-handed.
The Police Inspector was later produced before a special court of the ACB which sent him to jail.
