The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel later handed over the woman local Gandhi Nagar Police Station.
"The woman was travelling by a morning flight of Air India to Mumbai. On suspicion, the CISF personnel conducted a search on her and found four cartridges in her handbag. The woman was unable to explain the reason for carrying the cartridges," Kuldeep Khatri, the police station incharge, told IANS.
According to him, since the woman did not have any arms licence, a case has been registered against her.
"She is a trainer in the insurance sector," Khatri added.
The woman said she was travelling by air for the first time and did not know that she could not carry the cartridges, which belonged to her grandfather living in Mumbai. Her grandfather is in Mumbai Police, according to her.
