Tripoli, Nov 7 (IANS/AKI) Libya's National Elections Commission chief Emad Al-Sayeh has said international experts must help solve current "technical issues" before the country can go to the polls next year, reports said on Tuesday.
The Libya Observer newspaper did not elaborate on the technical issues which it reported were raised by Sayeh in a meeting in Tripoli with Fayez al-Sarraj, Libya's United Nations backed premier.
International expertise would also be needed over the constitutional referendum, the paper quoted Sayeh as saying.
Sarraj assured Sayeh that the government would ensure the HNEC was able to do its job "professionally and transparently", according to the report.
