AICTE, Monster India tie up for recruitment activitiesNew Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS) The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on Monday said it had signed an agreement with online job portal Monster India for help in providing job opportunities to students and freshers across the country.

Under a memorandum of understanding signed between the two, Monster India will manage and monitor the campus recruitment activities of over 10,360 colleges approved by AICTE, which have a collective intake capacity of over 36 lakh students, the council said in a statement.

"Monster India will act as an interface among students, colleges, and recruiters by empowering AICTE-approved institutions to map their students' talents and provide them with relevant job opportunities," the statement said.

It said these 36 lakh students comprise those from streams like engineering and technology, applied arts and craft, hotel management and catering, management, pharmacy and architecture and town planning.

"The MoU will definitely help college students and freshers seeking career opportunities," said Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE.
