Kolkata, Nov 3 (IANS) There is a need for greater public awareness of cybersecurity risks and mitigation measures regarding compulsory linking of Aadhaar with bank accounts and mobiles, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team Director General Sanjay Bahl said on Friday.
"Risks will always remain. So it is the question of creating the necessary awareness, its a combination of people, process and technology. You have the technology, you have the processes in place but the weakest link is the people," Bahl told the media here at the sidelines of the International Summit on Cyber Security organised by Infosec Foundation.
He was quizzed on the cybersecurity risks with the mandatory linking of Aadhaar with bank accounts and mobile.
"... so if the people are made aware, they are sensitised, they become that much strong. We need to put more and more emphasis on sensitising general public and making sure they are clearly aware of what are the risks and how to mitigate (them)," he added.
