Wagon Cab to charge toll tax

New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) Cab aggregator Wagon Cab, which operates on a flat-rate model of Rs 10 per km, on Wednesday said it will charge toll tax where it is applicable.

Apart from the fare and toll tax, the cab aggregator does not charge anything extra -- like surge pricing, waiting or cancellation charges or per minute ride charge -- from travellers.

"We are taking toll tax effective today (November 1). Until now we were not charging anything from the customers, the company was giving it," Arpan Aggarwal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Wagon Cab, told IANS.

Wagon cab currently operates in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, with almost 500 cabs on road.

Aggarwal added that passengers will not have to incur any cost on per minute basis of the time spent in the cab while travelling.

"The main USP we have is our flat rate... When you are sitting in the cab, you do not need to pay for the time that you are spending in the cab," said Aggarwal.
