Easy Halloween cocktails recipes

New Delhi, Oct 30 (IANS) Having a big Halloween party? Don't forget to whip up some drinks inspired by the festival to brew up some spooky factor, say experts.

Jatin Swamy, Bartender, STAX Bar, Hyatt Regency Mumbai, experts at The Beer Cafe, Sandeep Singh, Food and Beverage Director at Shangri-La's - Eros Hotel, New Delhi, and Naved Karbelkar, Director of Food and Beverage, Vivanta by Taj-President, Mumbai, have listed down some Halloween inspired concoctions.

  1. Dark concoction
  • Ingredients
    Vodka - 60 ml
    Blackcurrant- 10 ml
    Indian spices- 2 bar spoons
    Sugar syrup- 10 ml
    Lime juice- 15 ml

    Method- Put all ingredients in a shaker and shake it with lots of ice. Then double strain in a chilled martini glass. Rim the martini glass with powdered Indian spices.

  1. Shooter: Scary devil

    *Ingredients
    Rum- 30 ml
    Blood orange syrup- 10 ml
    Blue curacao- 10 ml
    Lime juice- 5 ml-8 ml

    Method- Put all ingredients in a shaker with lots of ice and double strained in a test tube.

  2. Devil martini

    *Ingredients
    Vodka- 45ml
    W sauce- 10 to 12 drops
    Tabasco- 4 to 5 drops
    Salt- 1 pinch
    Coriander- 12 to 15 leaves
    Sugar syrup and lime juice- 15 ml each
    Tomato juice- 60 ml

    Method- Take coriander leaves and tap in your hand. Put them in cocktail shaker and add drops of tobasco sauce, then put W Sauce and add a pinch of salt. Muddle all the ingredients in the shaker. Add tomato juice, sugar syrup and lemon juice.
    Add vodka and fill the shaker with ice cubes. Shake all the ingredients in shaker. Strain and pour in chilled martini glass. For garnishing, put green chili with small slit on opposite sides of the glass.

  3. Blind magic

    *Ingredients
    Activated charcoal infused dark rum- 60 ml
    Homemade rosemary syrup- 20 ml
    Lime juice- 30 ml
    Apple juice- 60 ml

    Method- Put all ingredients in a shaker and shake it with lots of ice. Then double strain in a chilled glass.

  4. Blood sucker punch

    *Ingredients
    Pineapple juice- 90 ml
    Cranberry juice- 90 ml
    Grape juice- 60 ml
    Dark rum- 45 ml
    Anise spirit- 15 ml
    Fresh lime- 10 ml

    Method- Shake all the ingredients and pour it into the glass filled with big rock ice, grenadine and strawberry syrup. Go for big cocktail glass.

  5. Pirates paradise

    *Ingredients
    Red wine- 90 ml
    Cognac VS- 30 ml
    Grape juice- 90 ml
    Brown sugar - 1 cube

    Method- Shake all the ingredients and pour it into the glass filled with ice. Go for scull shape glass.

  6. Gruesome graveyard

    *Ingredients
    Lavender infused vodka- 50 ml
    Blue curacao- 10 ml
    Sweet and sour mix- 20 ml
    Red berry puree- 60 ml

    Method- Shake all the ingredients and pour it into a bell pepper.

  7. Devils at work

    *Ingredients
    Vodka- 45 ml
    White chocolate liqueur-15 ml
    Star anise syrup- 30 ml
    Grenadine- 5 drops

    Method- Chill the vodka, put the grenadine into the glass, pour the star anise liqueur, then and float the vodka on top, pour the white chocolate liqueur on top. Go for martini glass.
