Chinese shares open lower

Beijing, Oct 31 (IANS) Chinese stocks opened lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.28 per cent to open at 3,381 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.17 per cent lower at 11,293.34 points, Xinhua news agency reported.
