Lucknow, Oct 27 (IANS) An e-office system was launched by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here on Friday in which 22 departments have been included in the first phase.
The e-office system makes the working process paperless and all files would move through the digital means.
The departments included in the first phase include the offices of the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and culture, excise, micro and small scale industries, information, general administration, khadi and cottage industries, programme implementation, sports, youth welfare, dairy, environment, civil aviation and homeward, among others.
The Chief Minister, after kickstarting the system, said by the end of this year -- December 31, the remaining 72 departments would also be brought in the e-office system of governance.
He also announced by March 31, 2018, all district headquarters would be similarly assimilated into the digital system.
Officials said in the e-office initiative, there are two page options -- yellow and green. On the yellow one, new drafting would be done and once the draft is approved and duly signed digitally by the concerned official, the page would turn from yellow to green, thereby signalling a moving ahead of the file.
