Bhubaneswar, Oct 26 (IANS) The Odisha government has decided to initiate a light and sound show at Samaleswari temple in Sambalpur district.
The state government hopes that the initiative would attract more tourists to the famous shrine.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned Rs 7 crore for the project.
"Maa Samaleswari temple is a famous temple in the state where devotees from across the state and outside visit to seek blessings. Light and sound show will help attract more tourists to this place," said a release from the Chief Minister's Office.
Patnaik has directed officials to complete the project in the current financial year.

Earlier, the state government implemented the light and sound show at two places - Peace pagoda at Dhauli and Sun temple at Konark.
