New Delhi, Oct 24 (IANS) To mark noted textile designer Sarita Handa's contribution over the past 25 years, Bikaner House will hold a two-day exhibition of art and textiles in the national capital that will showcase her company's collection of rare and vintage textiles handpicked over the years from across the globe.
To be held on October 28-29, the exhibition will also showcase the contemporary creative projects by five visionary artists Satish Gupta, Gunjan Arora and Rahul Jain, Arrti Mansinghka, Tanuj Ahuja and Jeevan Xavier interpreted in various medium like video, weaving and canvas in their individual style using signature Sarita Handa textiles.
The event reflects an interest in providing a unique platform for artistic expression in textiles and represents a new series of initiatives that celebrate collaborations between art and textiles to bring forth 'the art of textiles', Sarita Handa, Founder and Creative Head, Sarita Handa said in a statement.
