"Additional buses will ply from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and Baddi to different parts of the state on October 17 and 18," a spokesman for the HRTC told IANS here.
He said 90 additional buses would be deployed at the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in New Delhi for various destinations in the state on Tuesday, while 130 buses would ply from Chandigarh on October 18.
However, on the night of Diwali on October 19 limited buses would be deployed to link the state capital with the district headquarters and neighbouring Chandigarh and New Delhi.
The HRTC, with over 2,500 buses, has been crucial to the state and its economy in linking far-flung villages with urban areas.
