Mumbai, Oct 17 (IANS) Lending major Axis Bank on Tuesday reported a 36 per cent rise in its net profit for the second quarter (Q2) of 2017-18.
According to the banking major, its net profit during the quarter under review rose to Rs 432 crore from Rs 319 crore in the corresponding period of 2016-17.
The company's net interest income (NII) inched up by one per cent to Rs 4,540 crore in the second quarter of 2017-18 from Rs 4,514 crore during the same quarter last year.
"Net interest margin for Q2FY18 stood at 3.45 per cent. NII for H1FY18 too rose one per cent YOY (year-on-year) to Rs 9,156 crore from Rs 9,031 crore in H1FY17," the banking major said in a statement.
