New Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS) The national capital on Monday saw the maximum temperature rise to 36.4 degree Celsius, three notches above the season's average. Tuesday will also have similar weather, while analysts say the entire week is set to be warm with the maximum hovering around this level only.
"The sky would remain clear on Tuesday. The maximum temperature will hover around 35 to 36 degrees throughout the week," said an official at India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Private weather forecaster Skymet's Director Mahesh Palawat told IANS that "the minimum temperature may fall a little in next three to four days though but the maximum temperature will remain high".
"There is no respite from heat likely at least till the end of October," he added.
The minimum temperature recorded on Monday was 22.5 degree Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The humidity oscillated between 48 to 86 percent.
The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 35.4 degree Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum was recorded at 22.5 degrees, two notches above the season's average.
