Hot day in Delhi, no respite for a week

New Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS) Delhi witnessed a hot day on Wednesday at 35.7 degrees Celsius and Met officials said no respite was in sight for the city residents for a week.

The minimum temperature on Wednesday was 22.6 degrees, a notch above the season's average, while the humidity oscillated between 40 and 76 per cent.

On Thursday, the temperature will hover around 36 degrees, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

"The sky will remain clear during the day, with mist on Thursday morning," an IMD official said.

The maximum temperature on Tuesday was 36.6 degrees, three notches above the season's average while the minimum was 21.3 degrees, one notch below the season's average.
