The weather is expected to remain fine in Delhi with no sharp rise in temperature till Sunday, weather analysts said.
According to Met officials, showers are expected on Saturday as well.
"The current weather is due to low pressure system coming from south-west Uttar Pradesh merging with western disturbance from Himachal in Uttarakhand. So, for the next two days, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh will received good rainfall. Delhi weather will be soothing," said Mahesh Palawat, Director of private weather forecasting agency Skymet.
While the maximum temperature on Friday was seven notches below the season's average, the minimum was 26.5 degrees, two notches above the season's average.
According to the India Meteorological Department, between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., Delhi received an average rainfall of 18.4 mm.
Palam received 17 mm, Ayanagar 24 mm, Lodhi Road area 22.3 mm and the Ridge area 22.7 mm.
The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 35.4 degrees, one notch above the season's average while the minimum was 24.8 degrees, the season's average.
