London, Sep 22 (IANS) An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with last week's terror attack on a London Tube train, officials said on Friday.
Ahmed Hassan, of Sunbury, Surrey, was also accused of possession of explosives likely to endanger life or cause injury to property, BBC reported.
He will also face a second charge under the Explosive Substances Act, the Metropolitan Police said.
He was arrested at the Port of Dover in Kent a day after the explosion at Parsons Green subway station last Friday injured 30 people when a homemade bomb partially detonated on the carriage full of commuters and schoolchildren.
Hassan was due to appear before a court in London later in the day.
Three other men, aged 25, 30 and 17, remain in custody under section 41 of the Terrorism Act, the police said.
Another two men -- aged 48 and 21 -- who had been arrested in connection with the explosion were released without charge.
Police continued to search one property in Surrey and two in Newport, south Wales.
