The atmosphere was mesmerising and the occasion enthusiastically inspiring.
In keeping with the traditions of LakhotiaInstitute of Design (LID), they organised a show that was memorable as it addressed several societal problems facing the people presently. Each was executed to professional levels by the students of the premier institute.
The Fresher’s Day for the new academic batch was themed ‘Message’ and conducted to great levels in the Banjara Hills Road No 10campus on Saturday, September 16.
It was a good spectacle to see energetic boys and girls go about their awareness campaign, which was given further glamour in the form of dazzling ramp shows, and presentation of skits, displaying interestingly conceptualised placards that bore messages of several types-‘Respect Elders’, ‘Say No To Drugs’, ‘Phone Addiction is deadly’, RespectEvery Women’, and other such human traits that one must cultivate and carryforward by living up to the expectations.
There was an overwhelming participation by students of specialisations like Fashion Design, Interior Design, Photography and Modelling. If the smartly dressed fashion shows was a big hit and the skins won approval from the audience, an equally encouraging applause came when students rendered dance numbers, specially chosen for the occasion.
The event began with the ramp walk by modelling and fashion students. Fashion students will also present skits that highlighted the need to spread awareness about the vices and how life can be more beautiful if one led a simple and healthy lifestyle for enjoying domestic and peer bliss. The students vowed to never fall prey or get into alcohol and drug addictions.
It was a day when every student-participant was a winner for the sheer enthusiasm with which they performed and showcased their creative outpourings.
LID took up the initiative in order to remove negative thoughts coming into the minds of the youngsters. This has been a stated stance of the management of Lakhotia Institute of Design, which strives to spread positivity and help boost career aspirations of every youngster.
The best of creations and their mentors were duly rewarded on the occasion.
