Kolkata, Sep 4 (IANS) There will be scattered rainfall in north West Bengal for the next five days instead of heavy showers as announced earlier, the Met Department said on Monday.
"The five districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Kalimpong and Cooch Behar of north Bengal will receive scattered rainfall in the next four-five days and not heavy rain as said earlier," a Met Department official said.
Parts of south West Bengal are likely to receive less rain, he added.
The eastern metropolis received no rainfall in the last 24 hours till around 8.30 a.m. this morning and the humidity was very high causing discomfort to the city denizens.
