Three-storey building collapses in Delhi, no casualties

New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) A three-storey building collapsed in Sadar Bazar area here on Friday evening, police and fire officials said adding that there were no casualties in the incident.

A Delhi Fire Services official told IANS that they received a phone call regarding the building collapse in Pan Mandi area of Sadar Bazar, in central Delhi, around 5.20 p.m. and seven fire tenders were sent to the spot.

A police officer who visited the spot told IANS that there were no reports of casualties yet, as people ran out of the building when a part of it fell initially.

Later on, the building collapsed completely, he added.

The ground floor of the building had a couple of shops and the other floors were used to store merchandise, he added.
