New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Samsung Electronics on Friday launched the Samsung Portable solid state drive (SSD) T5 with latest 64-layer V-NAND technology that enables it to deliver industry-leading transfer speed of up to 540MB/s with encrypted data security.
The T5 is already available in two distinct metal finishes -- deep black (1TB and 2TB models) and alluring blue (250GB and 500GB models) for Rs 13,500 (250GB), Rs 21,000 (500GB), Rs 40,000 (1TB) and Rs 80,000 (2TB).
"We are confident that the T5 will exceed consumers' expectations for external storage by offering 4.9 times faster speeds than external HDD products and a solid metal design that is lightweight and conveniently pocket-sized," Sukesh Jain, Vice President, IT and Mobile Enterprise Business, Samsung India, said in a statement.
The new T5 is designed especially for content creators, business and IT professionals as well as mainstream consumers to give instant and easy access to data.
Also, the T5 is smaller than an average business card and lightweight at 51 grams, comfortably fitting in the palm of your hand.
The T5 can withstand accidental drops of up to two meters (6.6 feet) because its has no moving parts and has a shock-resistant internal frame.
