Fuel stations near Haryana borders closed: DPDA

New Delhi, Aug 25 (IANS) At least 12 fuel stations near the Haryana border in Delhi were shut down on Friday night as a preemptive measure following violence in the neighbouring state, a Delhi Petrol Pump Association official said.

Association spokesman Nishit Goel told IANS that the fuel stations have been closed till further orders.

The closure came as violence erupted in Haryana following Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's conviction in a rape case.

At least 30 people have been killed in Haryana as security forces fired at rampaging mobs in the state's Panchkula.
