New Delhi, Aug 21 (IANS) A special court here on Monday adjourned hearing in the 2G spectrum allocation case against Essar and Loop promoters for September 20.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge O.P. Saini, who has earlier reserved its judgement in the case, said that on account of voluminous and technical record of the case, files were still under perusal and it might take substantial time.
The court listed the matter for September 20 for seeking further clarification.
The CBI has alleged that the promoters of the Essar Group were the real investors and beneficiaries of the spectrum and licences issued to Loop Telecom, which was used as a front company by Essar to acquire 2G licences and spectrum in 2008.
Essar and Loop promoters are facing trial for hatching conspiracy to cheat government for obtaining spectrum licence.
