New Delhi, Aug 10 (IANS) The Penguin Random House India and THINKERS joined hands to bring distinguished minds from the field of economics and governance together on one platform "THINKERS Sandbox".
The launch ceremony of the first chapter on economics and governance here on Wednesday, the THINKERS Sandbox event saw top economists and thought leaders sharing stage with noted journalists and authors.
Film actor Anupam Kher released a list of 50 thinkers from the Economics and Governance domain at the event, which was joined by Yes Bank and Yes Global Institute as the Presenting Alliance Partner.
"The idea was to create a thought leadership platform that provides an opportunity to thinkers from a wide array of fields and with diverse views to ideate, take cognizance of our challenges and explore nimble solutions in the areas of Economics, Business, Arts and Culture, and Politics," said Preeti Chaturvedi, AVP-Marketing at Penguin Random House India.
THINKERS Sandbox also witnessed the unveiling of Gurcharan Das' "10 Extraordinary Tales of Trade" that takes an in-depth view of business communities in India and Bimal Jalan's latest book "India: Priorities for the Future", a formidable analysis of India's economic journey in the last four decades.
"India is fortunate to have a ubiquity of talented minds in every field of the society that have made incomparable contributions in shaping India as we know it today. THINKERS is all about recognising such individuals and their ideas," said Amit Kapoor, Editor-in-Chief, THINKERS.
