Kolkata, Aug 10 (IANS) TMC legislator and Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee appeared before the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday in connection with the Narada sting probe, an official said.
"He has come to our office for an interrogation relating to Narada sting probe," an Enforcement Directorate (ED) official said.
Citing "administrative reasons", the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader had skipped the ED summon in July and sought more time to appear before the investigating agency.
Chatterjee was among a dozen TMC leaders allegedly caught on video receiving money in exchange for a promise to dole out favours to a fictitious company.
The clipping was uploaded on the Narada news portal in March last year ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal.
The investigating agency had on Wednesday interrogated State Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim in connection with the case.
Besides Chatterjee and Hakim, Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee were also summoned by the investigating agency.
TMC MP Sultan Ahmed and city's Deputy Mayor Iqbal Ahmed were also interrogated by the ED in connection with this case.
