Ghaziabad, Aug 7 (IANS) Police arrested two criminals after a chase and recovered firearms from them in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Police said they were checking motorists when three men riding a motorcycle sped away despite being told to halt.
A police team led by Circle Officer Rajesh Kumar chased them towards Nivari. Seeing the police pursuit, villagers forced them to stop.
While one of them was caught, two others managed to escape. A second man was found hiding in a sugarcane field. The third man escaped.
The two who were arrested were identified as Arun and Soni from Meerut. Police recovered a .30 calibre pistol and a country-made pistol from them.
