Senegal elections will be held in peace: PM

Rabat, July 27 (IANS/MAP) Senegalese Prime Minister and national leader of the coalition "Benno Bokk Yaakaar" Mahammed Boun Abdallah Dionne has said that the country will vote on Sunday in "calm and serenity".

"On July 30, I tell you, the Senegalese will vote in calm and serenity... parliamentary elections will be held in peace," he said.

The Senegalese will elect 165 deputies on Sunday for a five-year term.

Fifteen elected representatives will represent Senegalese living abroad. This will be the last election of Macky Sall's Magisterium before the 2019 presidential election.
