Mumbai, July 25 (IANS) Model-turned-nun Sofia Hayat says veteran actress Shabana Azmi's character in the show "Amma" inspired her to be part of the small screen.
"Shabana Azmi's character in 'Amma' actually inspired me to act in Indian TV shows. I want to essay the character the way 'Amma' was in her show. I loved the way the drama was directed and written," Sofia said.
"I am open to do such kind of roles. I am also open to judge talent-based reality shows and host a show... Keeping my spiritual work as priority," Sofia said in a statement.

Manu Punjabi wants to go beyond reality shows
"Bigg Boss" fame reality TV personality Manu Punjabi wants to try his hand at acting.
"Be it TV or Bollywood movies, I would love to try both. They are equal these days. I am looking forward to make my acting debut. I'm soon going to announce my upcoming project," Manu, who hosts an MTV show, said in a statement.
"I would love to see myself in a comic or grey shade role," he added.

Paras Babbar keen on romantic show
Actor Paras Babbar, who was last seen in "Saath Nibhana Saathiya", says he wants to romance on screen in his next.
"After '...Saathiya', I am looking for a role which will allow me to experiment more. '...Saathiya' has helped me to grow as an actor. Now, I'm waiting for something challenging either to romance onscreen or to play some role with grey shade," he said in a statement.
"I'm glad that I got to do '...Saathiya' and it became my debut show."
