Los Angeles, July 23 (IANS) Actor-filmmaker Ben Affleck has denied rumours that he will not star in the upcoming standalone Batman film. He considers himself as the "luckiest guy in the world" to play the superhero role.
During a San Diego Comic-Con panel discussion for "Justice League", Affleck squashed rumours that Warner Bros was looking for ways to usher Affleck out of the series, reports variety.com.
"I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest f*****g part," Affleck said.
Affleck had originally been slated to direct "The Batman". However, earlier this year he backed out from directing the film and Matt Reeves was signed on to helm the project.
"There's a misconception that because I wasn't directing it, I wasn't enthusiastic about it," Affleck said.
"I would be a f*****g ape on the ground for Matt Reeves," he added.
