Eight start-ups in 5th batch of ‘Target Accelerator Programme’

Bengaluru, July 19 (IANS) Retail services provider Target India on wednesday announced the fifth batch of its 'Target Accelerator Programme' (TAP) with eight start-ups which were selected to develop innovative technology solutions.

The selected start-ups will work in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, analytics and digital experiences.

"The Target accelerator's largest batch yet holds diverse capabilities that can add value to our business and the entire retail sector through cutting-edge technologies such as AI and machine learning," said Rakesh Mishra, Target India Vice-President of Marketing, in a statement.

"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to tap into the immense innovation potential that exists in India through the programme," Mishra added.

The eight start-ups are Cogknit, Hyperworks, Moonraft, Cognitifai, Light Information Systems, vPhrase, Streamoid and Jumper.ai.

The start-ups will be provided with legal, financial and talent consulting services based on their requirements and at the end of the programme, they will have the opportunity to pitch their products and capabilities to investors and others in Bengaluru's start-up ecosystem and possibly continue their engagement with Target.

Till date, 22 start-ups have graduated from the programme first launched in December 2013.
