New Delhi, July 18 (IANS) The government has constituted a Board of Enquiry to look into the explosion at Ordnance Factory at Khamaria in Jabalpur in March, Union Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
The board would also assess the extent of damage, although no casualty was reported, Bhamre said in a written reply to a question.
A massive fire broke out in the F-3 section at the factory on March 25 evening after the explosion.
Bhamre said ordnance factories have been directed to conduct thorough review of safety systems and procedures and follow precautions such as periodic disposal of rejected and obsolete ammunition.
