Chennai, July 9 (IANS) National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani considers sharing screen space with superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming Tamil gangster drama "Kaala" as a lifetime achievement.
"When I finished the first shot with Rajini sir, I felt so proud about myself. It felt like a lifetime achievement. I have waited really long to share screen space with him," Samuthirakani told IANS.
While he remains tight-lipped about his role, he is thrilled about the project.
Bankrolled by Dhanush, "Kaala" reunites Rajinikanth with director Pa. Ranjith of "Kabali" fame.
In the film, Rajinikanth plays a slum lord-turned-gangster.
"Kaala" also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil, among others.
Santhosh Narayanan is composing the tunes.
