Lucknow, July 6 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday held a video conference with district magistrates and district police chiefs and reviewed the state of public complaints' redressal in 14 districts, said officials.
Yogi Adityanath also spoke directly to complainants on their satisfaction level after redressal of their problems, making him the first Chief Minister in the state's history to do so.
In the three-hour video-conference, Adityanath was apprised about disposal of 67 matters.
The Chief Minister would conduct such exercise every month on a 24-hour notice, said officials.
He also gave instructions to officials in various districts to ensure that all matters raised by the people up to June 30 are disposed of by July 31.
Divisional Commissioners and zonal Inspector Generals (IG) of Police have also been asked to review the disposal of problems by subordinates every week.
Similarly, the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police (DGP) have been asked to review complaint redressal on a monthly basis.
Adityanath underlined the need for prompt, transparent and qualitative action on complaints so that the people get relief.
He also told officials that the present state government believed in the policy of "Aapki Sarkaar, Aapke Dwaar (Your government at your doorstep)".
The Bharatiya Janata Party government in Uttar Pradesh has been focusing on quick redressal of problems and has deputed its ministers to hold meetings with people directly every day at the state party headquarters.
Similarly, the Chief Minister holds regular "janata darshans" where he directly receives petitions from people and passes them on to concerned departments and officials.
