Chennai, July 6 (IANS) Samsung India has partnered with the Tamil Nadu government to offer healthcare solutions with the effective use of technology to patients from the economically and socially weaker sections of society, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
As part of its "Smart Healthcare" programme, Samsung will provide advanced and innovative healthcare equipments such as ultrasound and digital radiology (x-ray) manufactured to select government hospitals in Kanchipuram and its adjoining areas.
"Samsung believes in transforming communities and creating a better life for people. Through this collaboration, we aspire to provide many more people easy access to advanced healthcare facilities. Samsung Smart Healthcare combines good infrastructure, latest technology and the best available medical expertise," said Deepak Bhardwaj, Vice President, Samsung India.
Since 2015, Samsung has collaborated with 16 government hospitals across the country to provide innovative products such as ultrasound, digital radiology and accessories that facilitate healthcare intervention to benefit communities with limited access to quality healthcare.
