The daily scheduled flight SQ421 will be operated with the new modern aircraft. The inaugural service will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Saturday at 11.45 hrs, said Singapore Airlines General Manager, India, David Lim.
Encompassing advanced technology and superior operating efficiency, the new Airbus A350-900 offers customers an improved travelling experience and makes Mumbai the 16th destination to receive the service on the airlines' network, Lim told the media persons here.
The 253-seater aircraft has higher ceilings, larger windows, extra wide body and lighting designed to reduce jetlag. It has a three-class configuration of economy 187, premium economy 24 and business class 42 seats.
