Los Angeles, July 1 (IANS) Paris Jackson, daughter of pop legend Michael Jackson, has condemned the trend for T-shirts dedicated to rock icons after reality TV stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner were forced to make an apology for their unauthorized use of late rapper Notorious B.I.Gs image.
Paris shared her opinion on Twitter following the incident, which prompted criticism from the rapper's estate after they used his image on a series of limited edition shirts, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Other tops from the range feature images of the reality TV stars over the faces of music legends such as Tupac Shakur, Metallica, Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne, The Doors and Pink Floyd.
Condemning the trend for vintage tour T-shirts and sweaters, Paris wrote: "As a huge fan of Zeppelin, The Doors, Floyd... I mean these bands literally helped shape who I am today. I can't condone this 'fashion'.
"Legends like these who completely changed our world today, not just the music world, should be respected and honoured. Not turned into this. Pink Floyd is not Chanel. Led Zeppelin is not Michael Kors. Metallica is not Givenchy. Don't get it twisted."
The teenager concluded by retweeting the lengthy apology shared by Kendall and Kylie following an adverse reaction to their use of Notorious B.I.G.'s image without permission.
