I’m a bad producer, says Ranbir

I'm a bad producer, says Ranbir

Mumbai, June 30 (IANS) Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who has co-produced "Jagga Jasoos", says he is a bad producer and finds acting more challenging.

"I am a bad producer. I can't get things done, can't do man management. I was lucky that a lot of the work was taken care of by Anurag Basu. I can be happy that I can just collect awards for the film," Ranbir said at a press meet here on Thursday.

"As a producer, I was handling the egos of people. Whenever there were fights between Disney and Anurag, I was just handling them. Acting is a more challenging part," he added.

Basu, who has also directed the film, spoke about why he chose to make the film.

He said: "I used to love all adventure stories. One has to discover the child inside us and know what one likes watching. It was challenging to make a musical out of an adventure story. But there is always fun in challenges."

The film is slated to release on July 14.

Misha, Roohi will be future BFF for sure: KJo

Filmmaker Karan Johar is confident that his daughter Roohi and actor Shahid Kapoor's daughter Misha will be best friends forever when they grow up.

At the launch of Pooja Makhija's book "Eat Delete Junior: Child Nutrition for Zero to Fifteen Years", Karan was present with Shahid's wife Mira.

"Misha and Roohi will be future BFF for sure," Karan, who had Roohi and son Yash via surrogacy, said here.

"I'm going to make a small nursery play room in my office so that I can spend more time with my baby," he added.

When Mira was asked about her experience of being a parent, she said: "I am thoroughly enjoying new phase of my life. I think parenthood is extremely fulfilling and all of us can agree with that. Having a child and extending your family makes you calmer and mature, so I feel kids are the greatest gift to anyone."

When asked about challenges that she is facing in parenthood, Mira said: "For me, the biggest challenge was feeding Misha right from the day I gave birth to her because for the initial period of the baby's life, you are his/her menu. So, mothers have to be very careful when they are feeding their child.

"Everything that goes into their (mother's) mouth eventually goes to the baby's stomach. It is something like a responsibility on your plate literally. There were so many things that I wanted to have but I couldn't because I didn't want Misha crying with stomach pain and at the same time I wanted to have enough nutrition so that I can give that on to her without depleting my health."

Big B, Rishi Kapoor's focus is like meditation, says make-up artist

Make-up artist Preetisheel Singh, who has worked on the looks for Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in their upcoming film "102 Not Out", says the dedication and focus of the veteran actors even after so many years of professional life is "awe-inspiring".

Singh has done heavy prosthetic make-up for the two in the film, and it was quite time-consuming.

Talking about her experience, Singh said in a statement: "Even after all these years in the business of entertainment, their child-like enthusiasm and devotion to their art is awe-inspiring. Their energy and intensity are infectious that one can compare it with the current heartthrobs."

"They would chip in their bit with interesting suggestions and even after the meticulous time spent for their makeovers, the team would always find them smiling when their shots were ready," she added.

In the film, Big B plays a 102-year-old father to Rishi, who essays a 75-year-old.

According to Singh, "Creating that age disparity was a task but it gives me great satisfaction that the makers and actors are happy with the outcome."

Produced by T-Series and directed by Umesh Shukla, the film is based on a Gujarati play of the same name.
