Hyderabad, June 22 (IANS) Think3D, a Hyderabad-based 3D printing solutions company, has bagged the contract to set up and operate a world-class 3D printing facility at the Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone Limited (AMTZ).
AMTZ is a prestigious medical devices manufacturing park being developed by the Andhra Pradesh government.
AMTZ signed an agreement for the construction, operation, management and maintenance of the 3D designing and printing facility, prototyping and rapid tooling at AMTZ on a PPP basis.
The scientific facility to be setup will be equipped with a range of 3D printing and other fabrication technologies, a maker lab for innovators and a 3D design facility for developing concepts to reality, the company said in a statement.
With an investment of $6 million and spread over an acre, the facility will be operational in a year's time and will be the first of its kind to operate all services under one roof in the Public Private Partnership mode.
