Siwan (Bihar), June 22 (IANS) Gramin Volleyball League, a meet conducted by CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd in association with Volleyball Association of Bihar and sports management company Republic of Sports, is set to get underway here on Friday.
The organisers have identified eight volleyball centres in Bihar namely Siwan, Mujaffarpur, Begusarai, Sonbarsa, Darbhanga, Purnia, Gaya and Bhojpur. The final of the event will take place in Patna.
Commenting on the league, CSC's Chief Strategy Officer Rishi Raj Singh said: "CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. believes that it can add value to the overall sports ecosystem in the country using this common services platform to identify and nurture talent from the grassroot level."
Republic of Sports had earlier organised Gramin Volleyball League in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh. The upcoming Bihar edition is the first edition in partnership with CSC e-Governance.
