The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is between the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and Netherlands' Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, an official release said.
The MoU envisages that both the governments will collaborate and share experiences and expertise in the areas mutually agreed upon, including techniques in the efficient use of water resources, river basin management, decision support systems, delta management, water quality issues, waste water recycling, and re-use through innovative concession arrangements, it said.
The cooperation will include promoting exchange of knowledge and expertise through study visits, seminars, conferences, meetings of experts, joint research, development of capacity-building programmes, exchange of training groups and other activities for academic and applied research and training, promoting mutual participation in and/or initiation of relevant collaboration projects and programmes, promoting public private partnerships.
A Joint Working Group will be formed to monitor activities under the MoU, it added.
