London, Jun 16 (PTI) Singer Gary Barlow's reality competition "Let It Shine" won't be back on the BBC next spring.
Barlow created the show, which grouped aspiring singer- dancers into boybands in hopes of winning roles in the Take That-inspired stage musical The Band, reported Digital Spy.
The format averaged between 4 and 6 million viewers throughout its six-week run on BBC One opposite ITV's "The Voice UK".
A spokesperson for the BBC has confirmed that "Let It Shine" won't air again in 2018 but stressed that "the door is open" for another series in the future.
