New Delhi, June 14 (IANS) An MoU signed between India and Palestine to cooperate in the field of agricultural and veterinary research, among other things, got the Union Cabinet's ex post facto nod on Wednesday.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in agricultural research, irrigation, veterinary field and climate change was signed in May during Palestinian Foreign Affairs Minister Riyad Al Maliki's India visit, a government statement here said.
"An Agricultural Steering Committee will be constituted under the MoU to determine the programmes and action plans for achieving the stated objectives," it said.
The committee will also set the agenda for cooperation between India and Palestine.
The government said the MoU will also be extended to cover areas such as plant and soil nutrition, animal husbandry, and modern irrigation technology.
Exchange of experiences, training and capacity-building will also come under its purview, it added.
