2 juveniles held; stolen scooters, mobile phones recovered

New Delhi, June 10 (IANS) Police arrested two juvenile boys from the south Delhi area and recovered two stolen scooters and eight mobile phones from them.

"The juveniles are from Delhi and belong to poor families. As of now, it appears that the two were operating on their own and were not part of any gang," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal told IANS.

The arrests on Friday led to the cracking of 28 snatching cases, according to police.

On June 9, police were conducting regular checking near a Gurudwara in the Moti Bagh area when they noticed two boys riding a scooter without a number plate.

When grilled, they revealed that the scooter was stolen from Delhi University's South Campus area.

Police later recovered one more scooter and eight mobile phones from the accused.
