Mumbai, June 5 (IANS) Actor Nikhil Sabharwal says before venturing into the entertainment industry he was a professional pilot in Manila, Philippines.
"I had learnt how to fly an aircraft in Manila, Philippines at my school Ace Pilots Aviation Academy. After getting an engineering degree, I trained in aviation for eight months in 2007," Nikhil said in a statement.
"I flew trainee Cessna aircraft and flew a ten-seater charter aircraft called BN2A-21, Islander. I came back to India and converted my license as recession had begun to kick in," he added.
Nikhil said after returning to India, he decided acting was his future.
"Since I had started modelling after my school and all through my engineering years, I continued that once I came back from Philippines. I shot for several commercials and eventually that led to a film and a show within a year. I guess acting was my calling all along," he said.
Nikhil is currently seen as Akshay, an army man, in Zee TV show "Bin Kuch Kahe".

Sushant sings on 'The Kapil Sharma Show'
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen showcasing his singing talent on popular comedy show "The Kapil Sharma Show".
Sushant appeared on the show on June 3 along with actress Kriti Sanon to promote their forthcoming romantic thriller film "Raabta". Sushant and Kriti talked about their earlier days of struggles and interacted with the fans.

Sandeep Anand to play Bhojpuri woman
Actor Sandeep Anand, best known for his various antics on "May I Come In Madam?", will next be seen portraying a Bhojpuri woman in the comedy show.
Taking inspiration from veteran actor Kamal Haasan's act in "Chachi 420", Sandeep will dress up like a Bhojpuri nanny to make his boss Sanjana (Neha Pendsee) feel nostalgic about her childhood days.
"I am very excited to be playing this role, it is not the first time I will be dressed up like a lady. I have done it before and received appreciation for my work, I hope the audiences like me now too," Sandeep said in a statement.

"Ghulaam" has completed 100 episodes and its lead actor Param Singh says that the TV show has helped him evolve as an actor.
