New Delhi, May 23 (IANS) After two days of respite with a dip in temperature and intermittent showers, the city witnessed increase in the mercury level on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature settling at 23.3 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
The sky would remain cloudy in the day and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
There is a possibility of thunder and lightening as well, the official added.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 46 per cent.
Monday's maximum temperature settled at 29.4 degrees Celsius, 11 notches below the season's average, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.3 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average.
