Raisen (Madhya Pradesh), May 8 (IANS) Government employees posted in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh as well as public representatives of rural bodies there will have to ensure toilets in their houses, or else they will face strict action, including their getting the sack.
A campaign has been launched in the district to make it open defecation-free by October 2 and those government officials who do not have toilets in their homes by this deadline will face strict action under service rules, including termination of service, Zila Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Amanvir Singh Bains said on Monday.
These include gram panchayat Secretaries, job assistants, and aanganwadi and Asha workers, apart from elected representatives like sarpanches and panches, he said.
