Mumbai, May 4 (IANS) At a time when companies are looking at ways to increase sales and simultaneously saving operational costs, global software giant Adobe believes that enhancing consumer experience is the key to securing an edge in the market.
Addressing over 1,500 attendees at the company's annual digital marketing event - Adobe Symposium 2017, President and CEO of Adobe, Shantanu Narayen, said the tech titan remains committed to help enterprises transform digitally and offer an enhanced customer experience with its Adobe Experience Cloud.
The company said that leveraging the power of new forms of digital experiences such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), voice and gesture, and advancements in cloud technologies, the next decade will bring disruptive changes in how brands immerse and engage their customers.
Industry leaders, including Raymond, Idea Cellular and Asian Paints unanimously reiterated the importance of being an "Experience" driven brand and said they have readily embraced digital marketing solutions.
Speaking of the next-generation technologies in the fabric and fashion industry, Sanjay Behl, CEO of Lifestyle Business at Raymond Limited said the company was almost reborn from being a menswear product centric organisation to a full wardrobe solutions firm.
He said the company is partnering with Adobe to transform the retail experience of customers by developing a single window of the customer and the supply chain.
"As a part of the digital enablement of the processes, the company is trying to reach to the customers in a much more focused way. We have made investments in virtual mirror or virtual trial rooms in some stores, e-Commerce and 3D Scanners, all aimed to provide customers an enhanced experience," Behl told reporters here.
Talking about the artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and automation, Behl said: "Another thing we are focusing on is AI and we are also looking at some options in robotics in China and France and the pay back is coming."
At the event, Adobe and Aditya Birla Group-promoted Idea Cellular also announced a partnership under which Adobe Experience Cloud will empower the telecom giant to deliver personalised customer experiences to its subscribers.
Himanshu Kapania, Managing Director, Idea Cellular said that Adobe's solution will help the company inch closer to company's digital transformation charter by delivering customised experiences and augment the company's growth strategy through enhanced customer retention as well as revenue generation.
He said that to address the challenges of today's digital disruption, the company is making investments in areas like personalisation insights, omni-channel, mobile app advanced analytics, digital campaign management, among other solutions.
Emphasising the importance of data driven approach and audience segmentation, Kapania talked about company's programme called IRIS (Increase Revenue with Intelligent Segmentation) that helped the telecom giant gain over 200 million subscribers in the last eight years.
Meanwhile, Manish Choksi, President - Home Improvement, International and IT at Asian Paints Limited, said that digital is an important paradigm and "it has helped the company in transforming from a paints firm to a d?cor company".
He said that the company is focused on putting consumer at the centre and then weave everything around it.
