New Delhi, April 21 (IANS) The national capital experienced another hot day on Friday with the maximum temperature settling at 40.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the Met office said. It has forecast a squall with over 50 kmph speed on Saturday.
"Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorm or dust storm with squally winds exceeding 50 kmph (kilometre per hour) on Saturday," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 40 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The minimum temperature on Friday was recorded at 28.9 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average, while the humidity oscillated between a high of 69 and a low of 34 per cent.
Thursday's maximum temperature settled at 43.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was 25.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
