"Two years ago, an MP probably plotted a conspiracy with a political party to tarnish the image of Trinamool Congress prior to the election. We expect the investigation will reveal the conspiracies. Then, people will be able to know who were behind such conspiracies," Pande told the media here.
Pande was apparently referring to party Rajya Sabha member K.D. Singh who is said to have funded the sting operation which purportedly caught several top Trinamool leaders accepting cash.
Narada chief Mathew Samuel, who conducted the sting, had earlier said that the money used in the sting was given by Singh.
Pande said: "The MP's name did not surface two years ago. It came after Narada News CEO Mathew Samuel said the MP funded him to conduct the sting operation. This conspiracy will be uncovered by the investigation."
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed an FIR against 13 people, including senior TMC leaders who were purportedly seen taking money, in the Narada case.
Pande, however, did not mention the name of the Trinamool Congress' MP who was allegedly involve in the "conspiracy".
Earlier, party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had admitted giving a party ticket to Singh was a "blunder".
Reacting to an FIR lodged by the CBI in the Narada sting case, Pande said: "Law will take its own course. If we feel, injustice is done against us, we will file (legal) case."
