Turin, April 13 (IANS) Argentine striker Paulo Dybala renewed his contract with Serie A side Juventus until 2022, the Turin club announced on Thursday.
The Bianconeri explained in a statement that Dybala's original contract, valid until 2020, has been extended until June 30, 2022, reports Efe.
The striker, who scored twice in Juventus' 3-0 victory against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday, arrived at the club in summer 2015 from Palermo for 32 million euros ($34 million).
Even though the club did not reveal his salary, Italian media hinted his income could reach 7.5 million euros ($7.9 million) a season.
Dybala has been referred to as Lionel Messi's possible successor, while the Barcelona star recognised him as the future of the Argentina national team.
